1. ORGANISATION

The „SPORTS CAR CHALLENGE 2001“ will be organised by

„Euroserie e.V.“,
Steußbergweg 2b,
A-6971 Hard,
Austria


2. STATUS

The „SPORTS CAR CHALLENGE 2001“ is a championship-like competition for two-seater prototypes according to Point 5 of these reglement.

The „SPORTS CAR CHALLENGE 2001“ will be held according to the sporting-rules & -laws of the following organzations. Each competitor or driver competing in the series must comply in any case to these rules

3. Events

The ”SPORTS CAR CHALLENGE 2001” consists of 12 races which are listed in the appendix of this reglement.

4. Guidelines for competitors of races of the „SPORTS CAR CHALLENGE 2001“

4.1. Every competitor competing in a ”SPORTS CAR CHALLENGE 2001”–race including the training – has to submit himself to this reglement without any exceptions.

4.2. Only those drivers can be recognized for the  ”SPORTS CAR CHALLENGE 2001”–pointsstandings who accept this reglement in all points .

4.3. The placement of series-sponsorship-stickers on the cars must be allowed to  EUROSERIE–Organisation (see Pkt. 1.) or to the race-organizers, if a race or the series will be financially supported by the sponsors according to this action.
This is the case also for stickers of the EUROSERIE–Organisation, which indicate that the driver or car is a competitor of the  ”SPORTS CAR CHALLENGE 2001”.
The stickers will have an sufficiant size and must comply to existing sponsorship-contracts.

4.4. Competitors of the ”SPORTS CAR CHALLENGE 2001” must be in possession of at least an EU-C-license.

4.5. By submitting an permanent entry to the ”SPORTS CAR CHALLENGE 2001” (see Pkt 8.) it is no more necessary to do so for every meeting.  All regular entrys will be entered automatically to the race-organizers by EUROSERIE–Organisation (”block-entry”), eccept they declare in advance not to take part in a meeting.
Entrys will automatically accept further regulations of the relating organisator of the meeting. A copy of these meeting-regulations will be sent to every entering ”SPORTS CAR CHALLENGE 2001” competitor in advance.
Entrys submitted only to the race-organizers will not be accepted.

4.6. Entrys or enty-fees of guest-starters for ”SPORTS CAR CHALLENGE 2001”-events must be submitted directly to the EUROSERIE–Organisation (see Pkt. 1.).  In the case of limited starting slots for a race regular entrys  will be preferred to guest-starters. The acceptance of a guest-starter-entry will be decided by the EUROSERIE–Organisation.

4.7. Doublestarts:
It is not possible for a driver to change cars in qualifying.

4.8. The EUROSERIE–Organisation (see Pkt. 1.) has the right to reject entrys from competitors for the ”SPORTS CAR CHALLENGE 2001”. In this cases the full entry-fee will be rewarded.
 
 

5. Guidelines for racecars of the „SPORTS CAR CHALLENGE 2001“

5.1. Eglible vehicles:
 
SPORTS CAR CHALLENGE
    CN-Sportscars according to  FIA-Reglement with max. 3.000 ccm and minimumweight of  600 kg
    Exception: Alfa 24V-motors will be allowed to have modified air-intakes.

    C3 and former group 6 vehicles according to the last  FIA-reglement for these categories, max. 2.500 ccm, minimumweight of 640 kg

    SR 2, & other open sportsprototypes according to actual FIA-reglement, max. 3.500 ccm, max. 6 cylinders, minimumweight of 720 kg
    Exception: airrestriktor and 18“ wheels are not nessecary

SPORTS CAR CHALLENGE – LIGHT
CN-Sportscars according to  FIA-Reglement with 2 valves per cylinder, max. 3.000 ccm and minimumweight of  600 kg
Exception: Alfa 12V-motors will be allowed to have modified air-intakes. 

CN-Sportscars according to  FIA-Reglement with 4 valves per cylinder, max. 2.000 ccm and minimumweight of  520 kg
Exception:  modified air-intakes are allowed apart from FIA group N-regulations

„CN-Junior“ - Sportsprototypes max. 1.800 ccm minimum-weight 500 kg, see special-reglement „Juniorcup“ 

5.2. In the  SPORTS CAR CHALLENGE – LIGHT a Juniorcompetition will be introduced to allow drivers between 16 and 25 yeas to compete in the series.
For the special requirements for these Juniorcup-cars see additional reglement "Juniorcup"

5.3.  In the „SPORTS CAR CHALLENGE“ and „SPORTS CAR CHALLENGE – LIGHT" the use of carbon-fibre for chassis or rear-wing is exceptional allowed

5.4. Tyres:
For regular competitors of the „SPORTS CAR CHALLENGE 2001“ the use of  AVON-Racetyres (Slicks) is obligatory. These tyres will be supplied by series-sponsor HORAG – Hotz AG.
Exceptions from theses rule must be permitted in advance by Euroseries-Organisation

5.5. Thermic treatment of tyres or the use of tyre-heaters is forbidden.

5.6. Startnumbers:
Permanent Startnumbers  or Startnumbers for single races will be given by EUROSERIE – Organisation, according to the following list:

Vehicles „SPORTS CAR CHALLENGE“                :   1 – 29
Vehicles „SPORTS CAR CHALLENGE – LIGHT": 30 – 59

8. Entrys for the „SPORTS CAR CHALLENGE 2000“

8.1. Permanent entrys for the„Sports Car Challenge 2001“ must be submtted to the EUROSERIE–Organisation (see point 1.) before the15th of march 2001. Entrys will only be accepted if the entry fee is paid.

8.2. The entry-fee for the „SPORTS CAR CHALLENGE 2001“ will be ATS 40.000,-- (€ 2.907,--)
It has to be paid until 31. march 2001 on the account of
EUROSERIE–Organisation,
Kto.Nr. 171001850 at the
Vorarlberger Volksbank, BLZ 45710,

This amount includes the entry-fee for all races of the „SPORTS CAR CHALLENGE 2001“-season.

8.3. Non-appearances
In the case of non-appearances of a competitor no part of the paid entry-fee can be rewarded.

8.4. The entry-fee for guest-starters, apart from starters according to point 8.1. or  8.2. will be
- for single-races     ATS   6.000,-- (€ 436,--)
- for double-races    ATS   8.000,-- (€ 581,--)
